My iguana started to lay eggs about 3 days ago and shes alying them all over the room she wont go in the nesting box.And also the eggs are fertal.
Also,I agree with you iguana should not be bred because of the abuse that people do to them,But this was don all by accedent.I did not no she was a female till the 3 night ago when she stated aying them on the heat blaket on my bed and on the news paper
She had 15 eegs since(all fertal). But what can i do to stop her laying on my bed and the news paper?

Since you already are aware of the giant iguana population problem, I suggest incubating them in the freezer.

It does not matter that they are fertile or it was an accident. That's understandable. But I suggest you step up and do the right thing for the iguana population in North America as a whole, and freeze them.

Not only are the moral reasons really strong for disposing the eggs but 15 baby iguanas could financially ruin you. All 15 will need seperate basking lights, UV tubes, large enclosures, fresh veggies daily, vitamins, etc. The list goes on and on.

And if you instead give them to pet stores, I promise over 50% if not more will end up in the worst home imaginable and then be turned over to an already over run rescue who now has to deal with it.

Think long and hard before incubating those eggs.
