Just curious what size cages people are using for adult Brazilian Rainbow Boas? I'm pricing 3 foot and 4 foot cages for my sub adult pair. Would a 3'x2'x1.5' be large enough for a single BRB? I'd be buying 2 cages as I prefer to house seperately except during breeding.

4x2x1 for each adult Rainbow.

Well Im planning on keeping my brazilian in a 4x2x1.5...Id say thats about as small as you would want to go for these guys as they like to roam about when they are larger. Check out the caresheet on the site too.
Cheers, Ryan

I wouldn't say 4x2x1.5 is the minimum. I have smaller male adult breeders and smaller females that could totally thrive and be successful in 3x2x1.5. But being hot-intolerant like Rainbows are, the wider the cage, the easier it is to construct a SAFE thermal gradient where the Rainbows can have refuge. The smaller the cage, the less successful the thermal gradient. Just a fact of life. But 4x2x1.5 will house every and all adult Rainbows. Even the BIG monsters like these two 6.5 foot+ beauts! :D

Thanks for the responses! I appreciate the pics too, gorgeous snakes there Jeff! I've currently got them in large sterilite containers (and they've really thrived with all the humidity). I'm hoping I won't have a problem with the new cages maintaining a decent thermal gradient and holding humidity. The only down side of the sterilites is viewing so I wanted cages that would allow me to see what my snakes were up to ;)
Here's the female, she's about 3.5' .

Just to add to this topic, rather than posting a new one, would a rubbermaid tub 20 7/8"W x 52 7/8"L x 14 1/16"H work alright? Thanks!

To have two of those shipped the shipping is 30 bucks so 2 shipped wouldda cost me $90, a little high for rubbermaid when I could build my own
