View Full Version : Need Advice
i housed together my male and female corn snakes due to a burnt out light bulb i havn't brumated them to breed yet but its soon to the time i usually start, 2 days ago the where mating, so i tried to get them to mate again by repeating what had happend the next day but the wheren't intrested i even misted the tank, whats the chances she will get pregnant? has anyone expierenced this?
I don't know why you think misting the tank would have anything to do with it. Most corns don't appcriate being directly misted at all. If anything that will just piss them off. IMHO.
As for brumating I am not sure what you mean "its soon to the time" its March and most snakes are coming OUT of brumation. I suggest you wait to brumate until next year, and do much much research before hand.
If your snakes have successfully mated, she may become gravid as all it takes is one mating.

Kro, 1:how long have you had the snake? 2:how big is it? 3: what kind of setup do you have it in? 4:what are the temps, cool and warm side? Need more info. A moderator will probably move this to the proper thread so don't be suprised if it is moved. Any detailed information would help us to help you. Good luck.
From expierence a light misting has worked for them, I have found it stimulates them or somthing maby it was a coincidence or sumthing but the usually went at it after that, i shall wait to see what happens hopefully it will work! i am going to do all the steps i did the last few times to get them to mate, i dont quite understand their behaviour was it a spur of the moment hornyness or is she actually ovulating and wants to be banged? I got my fingers crossed and hopefully will have a cluth by june i think? anyways thanks marisa for the advice bye
