Wildlife herpin Question

well the snows a meltin, any wildlife experts have an iea about what month the paints start hatching? Im sure that it all depends where yer at... Im in Michigan direct west from Sarnia Ca. so allong that lateral line ... I know a great place, shells litter the ground but never ben at the right place at the right time.

If you see shells littering the ground, it's probably from raccoons eating the nests. When the turtles hatch, they crawl out without the shells.

Painteds can emerge in the fall, or in the spring, depending upon the conditions.

Ya i figured that the nests were getting raided:( But hopfully they arent getting them all!
