It is an American Aligator :) he is aprox 3-4 feet :) and I have a licence to have him, I used to do educational reptile shows.
He is great :) a little vocal but I dont bug him to much these days :)

It is fake grass he has a cave with all organic soil as well, that is why it looks so dirty he is constantly dragging the dirt out of it. He loves the loghide as well it is getting a little small for him, but he doesn't realize it so he hides and his tail it still sticking out it is funny he thinks we don't see him. So we leave it in for him, it is not permanent but it is aprox 12 feet by 15 feet so it will last the rest of the winter anyways then when he is out for the summer we will build something better and more permanent

Veangance I believe that is illegal in most of ontario but in order to find out if it is illegal in your area look at the bylaws. It is important to not have one without the proper paper work!

I agree completly. They are a hard animal to properly keep and expensive to maintain. They are definatly not a herp to be thought of lightly.
Thanks for looking

Very, very, cool! I looked into Gators before but I didn't think I was ready for that kind of responsibilty yet.

It looks like he is happy and he has a pretty spacious enclosure as well!

How often do you feed him? Do you offer him live ever?

VERY nice gator. I love them when they are that size.

Looks great
Does yours go crazy in the winter when it's inside and is fine when it goes out in the summer because mine do and i don't know why.

Hes not to bad really except he never seems to leave his pond, sometimes I will see him in his cave or basking on his rock but 90% of the time he stays in the water. He hides more now and seems to be more vocal but other than that :) he's just a happy Gator from what I can tell :)
How big are yours?

I think I know the website that you are talking about. The one I know sell hyenas, tigers, crocs, elephants, giraffes and more but zookeepers also go on that website to buy some of the animals.
