What is a good first breeder reptile and amphibian (excluding lizards turtles and tortoises) Just wondering in case I ever decide to start breeding herps. By the way something more exotic in the snakes not like corns or rats but a little more rare to find.

'rare' usually means they are difficult to breed, expensive, or both expensive AND difficult to breed. Not a good animal to start with for a first time breeder. You are better off starting with an easier species then work your way up to the rarer ones.

corn snakes: easy
Leopard geckos: easy
Pictus Geckos: easy
everglades/yellow rat snakes: easy
I hope that points you in the right direction. the first snake i bred were ribbon snakes though.

Thanks everybody! I like the ribbon snake and everglade rat snake ideas but I am going to think about and ask later.
