Who me? Own colubrids? Never! Hahah... oh, how the mighty have fallen :p That's right, I got another one... I think I'm well and truly converted to colubrid-ism now ;) I just couldn't resist this girl at the show... I spent most of the day hanging out at Joe's table -- he had her out playing with her at one point, and I asked if I could hold her... it was all downhill from there. LOL... I had her out for a while then, and she was such a sweetheart... I knew I was falling in love, and I tried to resist... but then I made the mistake of taking her out again a little while later, and it was all over :p At 3:30, I heard the words "Joe, she's mine" come out of my mouth. Heheh... and that was the end of that. The battle was over, not that I put up much of a fight :p

So, here she is :) Introducing Jette, my new '02 female black variable kingsnake :D

A huge thank you to Matt for looking after Jette for me until the weather is a little warmer and I can have her shipped out here -- I can't WAIT to finally have her home :) That being said, all pics are courtesy of Matt... so thanks to him for those too ;) He must've got tired of me pestering him... lol....

And of course thanks to Joe for such a beautiful snake! :D If I'd had more money, I totally would've bought like half of his table... lol... as it was I spent money that I wasn't supposed to... but we all know how that is I'm sure ;)

Now I've just got to find her a nice handsome boyfriend to pair her up with next year, and I'll be all set! :) I'll be keeping my eyes peeled, for sure... I want to breed this girl next year!

I swear, you can't win with this girl.. Everytime i send her pics, she complains that they're too small, now i send her pics, and they're too big.. MAKE UP YOUR MIND WOMAN!!!!

That snake is insane, when i took those pics i had no idea the flash would have that kind of effect on the look of the snake.. Pretty crazy looking if you ask me.. And she's really calm and has a great appetite.. Maybe i'll forget to send her to you Jen.. :)

I am going to join the ranks of the jealous ones - that is a gorgeous snake - and great photos. I am sure you will love her - it is a fatal mistake to pick them up and hold them - especially variables - if she is anything like mine they will just nestle into your hand and stare up at you - totally charming.
