View Full Version : New substrate
I have just found decomposed granite. That is what Pro exotics uses as substrate. Took weeks to find It. Costs $30 a yard which is right around a ton(lbs). Crushed dust is its name I will be testing it this summer. Measuring humidity, compactability, and burrowability. I will let you guys know how it comes. It will be in a 6' length stock trough with 2' extra height to incorporate lights and stack for basking. Will post picks as it comes

I don't thnk it will hold that well, but I'd love to hear your results. What species of monitor?
I will have two female black throat monitors on it. What don't you think it will hold well humidity, burrows.
