View Full Version : In loving memory...
Today my beloved pet Iggy passed away. I aquired her when I was only a few years old as a first pet. She survived a struggle with MBD as a baby and recovered to live a full life. She was a member of the family, and has filled all our lives with wonderful memories and experiences. We were expecting this day however, as she started to go rapidly downhill in the past week, and three days ago her toes began twitching. She had a good, long life though. We love her and she will never be forgotten...

Very Sad day in deed Linds. However, you and your family are to be comended for actually making the life long comitment your Iggy deserved. I don't know anyone who has ever kept an Iggy for it's natural life span.
Take care,
Trevor
I am so sorry as well. It must be hard to lose a companion that has been with you for so long. Ditto what Trevor said. Take care.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss Linds. :(
Oh that sucks :( It says something though that you were able to care for her for such a long long life! I also have rarely heard of people with iguanas that old. She was certaintly one of the lucky ones.

Oh man. Sorry to hear that Lindsay. :( That is definately a long time, especially for a captive iguana. I remember when she was much younger. She always seemed to have a docile temperament. Hard to think of you guys without her, she was always around. RIP Iggy!

I'm so sorry to hear that, I'm glad she was with you, one of the few people that could actually take care of and love an iggy for it's life.
Sorry for your loss.............Iguana's are awesome creatures.

I am so sorry Linds. She was a beauty.
My deepest condolences for your loss... :(
As a newly born iggy freak, I can't imagine what you must be going through. My Paco takes up a decent part of my day so imagining him gone I know would leave a huge hole in my life. After 20 years, wow... I'm so sorry...
Your iggy did live a great happy and healthy life in your care. Very few make it past 12-15 years so for yours to have made it to 20, he had to be in pristine conditions. Kudos to you and your family for providing such a great life for your iggy.

So sorry for your loss - it is quite an adjustment to lose someone that you have had for so long. My condolances to you and your family,
mary v.
Thank you for the condolences everyone! It is indeed a tough adjustment. I keep expecting her to be thumping around the corner, or basking in her favourite spots... just keep expecting her to be there, but she's not :(
Sorry about that linds, I know you must feel as if a part of you is missing now.
