That's just for the chameleon! Their cage needs to be HUGE! Rated as one of the largest chams in the world! And then again,t hey are fairly hard to care for. Very rare chameleons.

Chances of finding a species specific care sheet for Parsons are rather slim. Since they're extremely rare in captivity, only the "cream of the crop" keepers have them. The few offspring that are available go to expert keepers who either already have the info, or get it from the breeder.

This is all I could find, I do not know how reliable it is but generally these caresheets are a collection from many keepers personal experiences. Hope it helps

2000 Brandy? You are a little ... wait ... WAY too high on that figure. They are down to about 1100 Canadian through reputable breeders (ie scream)

2000$? wow. i know they are large and would need a large cage and are relatively hard to take care of, but i had no idea of the price. haha, forget this idea.

Jason,
If you can set me up with a seller at that price, I'll arrange all the export stuff to the US and buy them all day long for that price! I purchased mine for $2200US and $1550US. They haven't been available for $1000 in years as far as I know. $1800-$2500 is typical price for them.
Anyway, they can eat quite a bit and can be picky feeders. I generally feed madagascar hissing roaches, orange headed roaches, silkworms, hornworms, waxworms, mealworms, superworms, stick insects, mantids, crickets and anything else I can get my hands on at the time. They have been known to eat birds, pinkies and anoles when full grown as well.
Their enclosures are huge (7' tall x 6' x 3') and care needs specific and generally out of the reach of most keepers. Their hydration requirements are significant (I run misters 3 times a day for a total of 1.5 hrs a day).
There are some care sheets out there. www.adcham.com has a good one and there are a few others. that one from central pets is not very good. to start with, this species lives upward of 15-20 years, not 4 although that may be a good average considering how few have had success with this species in the past when they were being imported. Other than that, the sheet has virtually no information about the species relative to any other chameleon.
Here are a couple pics of mine.

Juvenile Male. This photo is about a month old and he is now a baby blue with bright orange eyes. His rostrals have also grown in a lot.

Yes, I only have a pair of C. parsonii at the moment. They don't become available too often and when they do, the price is limiting to how many I can get at any time.

Those are great looking! I remember when they were wholesaled at $45.00 each and when my buddy who would get a lot in he would give me the thin ones for nothing. They would come in 50 ata a time and I Had three pairs for years and years and they did great! When the gravid ones would come in I would pay $60.00 for them. At one point I was sitting on over 100 eggs and after a year I pitched them thinking they were no good. Subsequently I found out they take 18-22 months to hatch.....ouch! I have been giving thought to checking the local dump to see if they have populated the area but I am sure not lol!
