Depends on where the hotels is. If its in the middle of town, then you could probably find lizards and such. But if its out near the boonies, then I imagine there is lots to be found.

If you're in Varadero (the ONLY place to stay in Cuba, heh heh) you will see literally 500+ lizards per day. Anoles being the bulk of that. Its insane. You'll never catch them though. They are faster than greased lightning!! LOL!

If I remember correctly there are only 5 or 6 species of snakes in Cuba. I know there is the Cuban Racer, Cuban Boa, Blind Snake, and I think there are a couple other small burrowing colubrids.

672,

If you get the chance to get out from the resort and do a little hunting, and happen to cross a cuban wood snake (or any other of theTropidophiidae (9 sp. in cuba), be sure to grab a few pictures, especially if you cross an orange individual.

Good Luck, and have fun too!

go to the swamp!! Cuban crocs(Crocodylus rhombifer)...the coolest reptile there in my opinion....and by far the nastiest LOL
