Well today started out great, i was playing with my twin girls had no cares in the world. decided it was time to go do a check on some of the reptiles and do any spot cleaning that would surely need to be done.
When i came to one of the gravid boas... Well... I was suddenly in a very bad mood. There were 52 slugs and one odd looking slug. Now what makes this even more mading is the femal was a ladder-tail and striped tail meaning from a little past mid body she had the ladder tail look but the last 12 inches of her was a soild strip. The dad was an Albino with lots of coral in him. So this means i was going to have some dam nice hets.
I still have one more female and hope she is ok, last time she gave me 42 babies so i can only hope. she to was bred to the Albino male.
Oh the joys of reptiles

Sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug.

Damn... that's a big back of suck, man. I'm sorry to hear about it. Goood luck with your other female though. Did this unfortunate female ever produce for you before? Sometimes they have a bad first run.

The odd looking slug was just a different shape and soild black, not the normal looking yellowish. This girl has produced for me in the past with litter sizes ranging from here very first of 23 to her biggest of 48. she is pushing 10ft and in great health had good weight before breeding. the Albino male has also produced so should be no problems there.

DOH! Sounds crappy man. I guess Duane will share your grief also? Or was someone else "pimping" their male to ya LOL. Hopefully you have better luck with round 2. I just traded back for a female Albino from Duanes last years clutch, so I'll have her going up for sale/trade right away. I'd take your Diamond for it, heh heh. Might as well grab an Albino female eh, as Hets are soon to be just a dime a dozen anyhow IMHO. LOL Good Luck
Mark
P.S. "Mason" there is a good chance that the male was not cycled properly for breeding or the time frame of the breedings didn't work out for when the female ovulated etc. OR Maybe he was just bred ("pimped out") to too many different females to be successful with all/any of them.

Hey Mark
I will never give Any of my Diamonds. And I already have Female Albinos so if anything it's a male I need. Maybe I i'll find one I like this year.
And "Pimping" is such a hard word, i prefer to use
"Global Romancing"
So how are my Indigos doing Mark. hehe

I guess you'll be hoping Dan has some nice males "pop out" this year then eh. Don't blame ya on the Diamonds, but ya can't blame a guy for trying LOL. Global romancing eh? EIs have been breeding off & on for a couple months or so, thus fingers are crossed for a gravid female again this year. I also aquired an unrelated 2002 male to go with my 2 2003 female hold backs. Friends of mine now also have 2.4 unrelated ones to work with so 2007/8 may be a good season for them in Western Canada??? We'll just have to wait & see heh heh. Cheers Mark I.
