the gloves in Kevlar?

Hello,
Will I like to have your opinion on the gloves in Kevlar of at Midwest? Does it prevent a bite really? What bite do you already have sudden with these gloves?
I think mainly to use them to manipulate some opistoglyphes as Boomslang (D. typus), Philodryas olfersii, etc...
Is it that the model with the tablets made of metal brings a more?

Hi I don't have these gloves but I know one thing for sure ...They will never prevent a bite :) Some small snakes with very small teath would'nt be able to bite through the gloves but I would never reconmend handling hots with these gloves. Why take the risk..

major drawback......they greatly reduce dexterity and are very cumbersome to use....they will protect against bites, but are not bite PROOF

I would not bet my life on them........ They may be able to keep a small cobra from making contact with your skin but I am certain a large adult will get through........ They would be useless against mid size and adult vipers........ Kevlar can stop a bullet but not a knife.......

As Matt pointed out they highly reduce dexterity and are cumbersome. Also Kevlar being good for stopping bullet does not make it good for stopping needles. Keep im mind kevlars fine weave is more like a baseball glove designed for absorbing the impact and force of a large object thus proventing penetration. The fangs of most vipers will easily penetrate it. Even some of the higher quality gloves produced for the protection of officers while searching a subject will only provide minimal protection to a certain psi after that the needle still makes contact.

If you need to retrain a venomous for whatever reason the best tools are the tried and true , such as hooks,tongs,tubes,pinning stick. If you have to for some reason hold the sharp end for oral meds be damn sure of your hold and how to do it. Keep in mind that some large crots and bitis can slip a fang through their own skin and get you if your hold placement is not perfect.

Thank you for your answers. Made to some I thought to use this type of gloves rather on opistoglyphes as Philodryas olfersii that has some big hooks and that cannot be to manipulate to the hooks without the hands.
