View Full Version : Why aren't R. auriculatus more popular?

They're as easy to care for as ciliatus (crested geckos), and way calmer. They aren't quite as prolific, and they don't drop their tails as easily (they even grow back, unlike crestie tails).
I'm just wondering why they haven't caught on yet.

Hehe :) I'd have to agree with that, yep *grin*...

Seriously though, maybe because they're just not as colourful?

I mean pictus geckos are really easy to care for, almost exactly the same requirements as leos, and are MORE prolific I think... and they're not nearly as popular as leos, probably because there's really only 2 morphs out there....

Just my thoughts ;) They can't be kept with cresties, can they?

That's a very, VERY good question.
I don't see why they aren't more popular. More calm and easier to hold then cresteds. Don't get me wrong, I live and breathe for my cresteds...but the gargoyles are something else.
