I've read many diffrent opinions, so basically I'm so confused LOL.

What is the approx. time frame between a successful mating, and starting to lay the eggs?

TIA.

I can't answer that 100% cause out of all the times my female has laid eggs i have never seen them mate. But i estimate it at around 40-60 days.

I would really like to know exactly how long. You got to see yours mate, right??? So if you keep track of the date they mated to the time she lays eggs you'll know. If you do that i would like to know how long.

Watch for the female to start digging around and you'll know she's ready to lay.

there are several sheets that i have read that stat females laying eggs aprox 4 weeks between clutchs so i am going to say 4 weeks

Just caught our Hypomelanistic male mating with one of our female snows yesterday. I will keep track and reply to the post once she lays.....

I will post as well when she lays, along with her age/history/etc ( I know age and size can play a part in it ). The mated on Feb. 11th.

Mine mated Feb 2, 2004 and I am still waiting. I can not feel "a sac of marbles" like everyone says, but she feels really bloated. I will let you know when she lays.

I would imagine it would differ between every dragon

greg put the female in warm water and her stomach will relax and you will be able to feel the eggs.

I did this with my female yesterday and know why she is digging so much:)

Well...results are in:

Our female snow mated with our hypomelanistic male on Feb. 26 and today (March 10) she laid 29 perfect eggs.

Didn't take her long!

Out of curiousity, how old is the female?

Lucy hatched in June 2002. I was amazed that it only took that long. She was not with a male until that day that I caught the breeding (Feb.26) since July 17/03.

My female finially laid 26 eggs on March 14. She mated with my make on Feb 2, so 41 days. I thought she didn't have any eggs as I couldn't feel anything that resembled eggs. this is her first clutch amd most of them were infertile, but I am still hoping that a couple of them make it.

I have thrown out some of the obviously mouldy ones that I think won't make it, but if some of the good looking onse start to get
'hairy" should i leave them, clean them, or what should I do?

Any help would be great as these are a lot different eggs than compared to gecko eggs

I was told this 2 years ago and it worked for me. Anti fungus foot powder sprinkle very lightly over the molded eggs. It helped mine and i had no problems with it what so ever. I used Gold bond. I never throw eggs out unless i'm 1000% sure it's no good.

I guess egg laying all depends on the females age, weight, and "experience".

Wow, I have to say, this is very very interesting. So far we have 27 days, 13 days and 41 days.

Hey Greg, How old is your female?
