They are pretty necessary, ATB's spend alot of time hiding on the ground. I use pieces of cork bark for mine.

Normally you can just hang lots of vines or you could hang an opac(sp?) plastic container over a perch and they could hide in that. Try to use something in the air. I have heard of people attacing hide boxes with floors to the walls of their ATB enclosures. I dont keep them so best let soemone else help:).

SOrry for double posting but shouln't ATB's not be on the ground? This is normally a sign of stress or something isn't it?

I know Ill be corrected if im wrong but I believe that ATBs unlike GTPs and ETBs are not strictly aboreal and spend about 50-60 percent of thier time on the ground.

I had one for one of my ATB's that spent a lot of time on the ground and he used it a lot.

All 9 of my ATB's spend LOTS of time on the ground. The babies more so than the adults with up to 75-80% of their time on the ground.

Hmmm, Thanks. I thought it was all the arboreals(like GTP and ETB, and the others)
