I changed the room around a lot lately so I thought I would share some pics.
The room is heated by electric baseboard heater. The room has a ceiling fan and humidifier. The sun never hits that side of the house so I never have to worry about too much heat coming in throught the windows. The only light in the room is what comes in through the windows.

Certainly not a pretty room but it's functional. Then again none of the rooms in this 150+ year old farm house in desperite need of renovations are pretty.
Ah student loans, what'd ya do?
Thanks for looking,
Trevor

The room is heated yes but that is just for the ambiants. Look at all those dimmers, one per cage.
Next year the thermostate will be programable so that I can set it to drop when the sun goes down. I also hook my BP rack into a timer. So when the sun goes down the heat pads for the rack shut off and the room drops to 75. In the morning the timer clicks the power back on and the racks hot spots warm up to 95 and the room to 80. In the summer it's 85 dth and 80 ntl.
Cheers,
Trevor

Nice! In the third pic, did you custom build those two wooden enclosures? They're awesome! I have one kind of like those but it opens from the top. Not too handy for stacking...
Looking great!

Yup everything in there is custom built. I didn't personally build oak cages but a friend did. I recently re-finished them.
Thanks,
Trevor

Trev,
I REALLY like your rack system.
I used to use those big rubbermaids with those annoying , flimsy lids, but never thought about making a rack of them. duh...
Anyways, looks like a freedom breeder!
Good job!
