I got him a few days ago, he's a huge stud.. But I don't know if something is wrong with him now, he seems to have white.. stuff.. coming out of his nostrils (?)
..is that normal? or is he sick already?
he has been eating, he has a constant stream of water dripping, humidity has been 50-60%..
anyway, here's some pictures of him

It could just be shed from before that is kinda stuck in the nostrils. If you could take a close up it would be easier to tell. If it is a fluid id get him checked out by a vet. Its easier to catch problems when they begin then treat them later on.

I sometimes have this if i dont spray the enclosher enough. Maybe try spraying right near his head just to see if that will get rid of it. normaly helps me

My one-eyed male has the "white stuff" often. I also think it is salt evaporates or something. If it continues, you may want to talk to a vet about it, or look at your set up and try changing things around a bit.
By the way - pretty nice looking man you got there.

interesting choice of words there :p
thanks, I like him quite a bit.. he's an interesting fellow. I'm definitely glad I decided on a chameleon :)
oh yeah, the verdict is that the white stuff by his nostrils is salt, and it happens when they get a little bit dehydrated, which is bound to happen during the winter.. but I've been increasing the misting so hopefully that will take care of it. Also, the little guy finally left his basking spot and has started hanging out in the ficus tree so it'll be more moist for him there.

seems as though he kicks it casual quite frequently, funny guy though, watching him bob his body everytime he moves

Congratulations on your new addition, he's a great looking boy. I can't wait until I start adding chams to the collection. :)
The white stuff coming out of his nose is eather salt or soduim spelling sucks but its ok in a captive cham. The book i have says it can happen in a pet cham thats not in the wild so dont let it worry you.
