View Full Version : snake vibrations
my friend is geting his first boa monday, but the snake will be kept in his room. i am worried the vibrations from when he listens to music or watches tv will stress the snake. he also can not keep the snake any where else in the house, is there something he can put under the cage to cancel out vibrations?

Loud noises will travel through the air as well, being that air itself has mass. Best advise is to simply not let any noises get loud, or any excessive bass or hard thumping or walking. I have several snakes in my living room, all boas, that have had no problems. I never let the noise get to high, but then again these snakes are more acclimated than a new snake, which is also recommended to keep everything as stress free for a few weeks. If your friend wanted to use some foam padding or towels to help soften any vibrations, no harm in using it, but this will no cut down all vibrations. Best rule of thumb is tell your friend to change his habits in his room and around his new snake.
will do so, thank you for your help
