I need your help. I took on a "project" white lipped about 6 months ago. She has had a hard life. She has several burn marks on her side and looks to be in declining health. I have no idea how old she is. My problem is that she will not eat. She took 1 rat about 3 months ago and that is it. She is not losing much body weight, but I am beginning to get concerned. I have tried frozen, live, big, small. I have also tried Quail and chicks, but no luck. I have also tried letting the Beardie and / or Gecko's put their scent on the rat... Still no luck. I have tried heating the rat to appeal to her "pits"... Nothing works. I have been at this for years now and I am quite sure that the temp, humidity, space, all husbandry is good. Anyone have some helpful suggestions? If she doesn't start eating soon, I am afraid she will pass on soon.

Have you tried scenting the rat with chicken broth? Sometimes that works... but it sounds to me like you've exhausted pretty much everything else. Sometimes they just don't have a will to live, man. It really sucks, especially when you try so hard. Good luck though... she may surprise you yet.

Have you had a fecal done? Since you have no background, and it's probably a wc, it might be loaded with parasites. Try to contact Wulf at http://www.leiopython.de/en/index_en.html
