Well i just picked up my Red Westerns, and boy was i suprised! These guys are way faster than i thought. I got a pair of August '03, and they are WICKED. These guys rule. As soon as they were done exploring their new home they dissapeared under the aspen!

The male is HELL-ON-WHEELS, this guy is flat out a speed demon

The female is a little more docile, but fast non the less.

These snakes are in great shape and incredibly healthy. I had the best experience with Ted Lascola, he and i were constantly talking through email, and was never rude or neglectfull. He always answered my questions, and made sure that my snakes were feeding and at there best before i purchased them. He even gave me a piece of toad just in case some on decided to be stubborn. I would recomend him to anyone who was looking for a quality animal at an excelent price.

How big does a full grown hog get and what size enclosure would a pair need?

Bartman, i think big females are max 3feet with males being smaller. I think the general 1snake per enclosure rule goes for these guys to, and i think they need about a 20 gallon long. I may be wrong, as i dont have any hognoses......yet

Mine were 60, Ive seen them from 60 - 100, It all depends on where/who you buy from.

males 2-2.5ft (usually smaller)
females 2.5-3ft

females need atleast a 20gal long, but I've heard that a male can live in a 10 gal tank all it's life.

Hiding in your hand huh? Wait till your holding it one day and it decides to try and burrow through your hand, it tickles really bad! lol

Beautiful snakes!
