They really tricked me this time..

So, a couple weeks ago i was browsing the classifieds and saw that Jeff Favelle had some amazing looking Hondo's for sale. So, i looked at them and thought of how nice it would be to get one.. So jokingly, in the chat, i told Shane that he should buy me one for my birthday that is coming up in March.. He laughed and said, 'sure, no problem'.. A couple days later, my good friend Jen (Clownfishie) went to Mr. Favelle's house and picked up couple of Hondo's for herself.. She came home that night and was bragging about how she got them.. I immediatly labeled her the snake theif.. For the next couple days, Marisa and I constantly called Jen 'the snake theif' and i was constantly giving her a hard time for buying the snakes i wanted.. So anyway, as some may know, Jen has flown in from B.C for the show coming up on Sunday. Well last night, she and I got together to hang out for the night.. She came to my house and handed me a present with 'Happy Birthday' wrapping paper.. I laughed at her and didn't want to open it at all, cause, i didn't feel she needed to buy me anything for my b-day.. So, after much arm twisting ;) i decided to open the box, this is what i saw once it was all said and done..

Yes, that is a Deli Cup with a picture of a Hondo inside.. I thought they were playing some evil joke on me and rubbing it in even more.. Turns out that behind my back, Shane and Jen conspired and purchased one of Jeffs animals for me.. Jen is caring for him at her place until a later date when it will be shipped to me(warmer weather).

So, i just wanna say a huge thank you to Jen and Shane, you two are awesome and i couldn't ask for better friends.. Marisa, you suck, i can't believe you egg'd me on to make fun of and tease Jen for buying my snakes meanwhile you knew she bought it for me all along... And Jeff Favelle, Thank you for producing such amazing looking animals.. Now i just need to find him a girlfriend.. ;)

HAHAHAHAHHAHA I LOVED this entire period of time. Jen telling me in pm to try and get the subject changed....me telling you she was a "theif in the night" and should be punished. MUWAHAHAHA! Oh thanks too them too. Now my dollar store water dish birthday gifts are sure looking crappy. :( LMAO

But yes that gift was incrediably thoughtful and sweet. I hope he grows up super looking and makes you lots of babies you can give to me as surprises. :D :D

You've been such a good friend for a very long time and with my current schedule you know that im not around much to chat like we have in the past. Matt, you're very welcome :) I was seriously dying trying to keep the secret from you... lol... there were a few times when you said "so when are you sending me my new hondo" or something along those lines -- and I'd be frantically PMing Marisa saying "he doesn't know, does he??? there's no way he can know!". LOL. Or when you'd make a comment about what I should get your for your birthday and I'd be sitting there with my fingers itching to tell you about how you were going to die when you found out what I got you... lol... and before I could show you the pics of MY hondos (remember how I kept putting you off? :p) I had to change the file names on the pics I was showing you, because I had originally done the 2 males up as hondom1 and hondom2... and of course mine was hondom2, and I just knew that you'd see that and figure out something was up... lol...
I was sitting there at your house totally dying when you wouldn't open the damn gift though! Geez man... lol... you must learn how to accept presents :p "No, I won't open it" as he tosses the box back at me... lol... several times no less. And then the look on his face when he finally did open it... he was just totally confused. LOL. I can't believe he thought that I would actually do something like give him a pic of a snake just to rub in the fact that it was mine and not his :p Half tempted to take the thing back again. LOL...

Thanks to Marisa & Shane for being such great co-conspirators ;) Marisa helped me keep my sanity throughout the whole thing... lol... and thanks for the pic in a deli cup idea, that was aweseome ;) I was just going to give it to him in a card... hehe...

Matt -- you're a great friend, and I hope you love your new little guy as much as I already do ;) He's a sweetheart -- spazzy as hell of coures, but a sweetheart! :) And he already had one perfect shed since he came home...
