is there anyone that breeds butters. i read that they are shipped from chile and then are radiated so they dont turn into moths and to kill parisites. seems weird that there are nooo breeders.
just curious.
thanks
I know silkworms.ca sells them, however I am not sure if they actually breed them or not.

Butterworms can't be raised. Every country requires that before having them exported from Chile they are irradiated to prevent them becoming agricultural pests in other countries.

Yep what the person said above, They are not allowed to breed them here. They collect them from trees and ship the larve to the states and other places. There was a site i went on that explained it more in detail but i can't find it. Try and do a search on butterworms or tevo worms.
