Well , three bites from her in 9 years isn't too bad I guess....... this morning I reached over the ol' girl to change the water in her bowl, and BANG ! she nailed me on the wrist . Her mouth went nearly all the way around my wrist. For the record , she's about 10 feet long and weighs about 75 pounds. She's also pregnant and kind of miserable right now, so I try to leave her alone as much as possible. The last time I mentioned that I was bitten by my monitor, I was surprised at how many requests for pics of the carnage, so here ya go ! Cheers ! Les

Ten feet and seventy-five pounds? Really? That sounds incredible but I can't say I've ever weighed a 10 foot pregnant boa... How about a shot of her?

Hi,

I wonder what kind of substrate is that green stuff. I already used astroturf, but I got rid of it because it was too dificult to clean.

Thanks,

J Fonseca

its not hard to clean all you do is dump the solids and toss it in the wash on delicate or was it in the sink. you just need 2 peices so you can alternate them.

Yeah, it's astroturf alright. I've tried a few types , but have found that it's worth the extra $$ to use the good stuff. By that , I mean the rubber backed , high quality kind. I picked it up at Home Depot. The good stuff doesn't fray at the edges when you trim it to fit the enclosure. It's easy to clean in a laundry tub, or simply hose it off on the driveway. I've used it for 10 years with no problems........ I've gotta get some enclosures set up for babies now........... She's delivered 3 times during the first week of April, so that's what I'm preparing for............ Cheers !! Les
