Hhhhhhmmmmh, nothing to say, just noticed that there was no new posts for the last thirty days.....where are all the croc lovers?, come on guys lets keep this thread alive!!!
I'd love too but I just sold my only crocodillian! SO SAD!!!
I am still in the search for a cuviers dwarf...
Crocs Rock!
No crocodilians here. They just arent for me. Another animal I can get my fix of at work and not have to have at home. As neat as they can be sometimes, they arent suited to many keepers, myself included in that :D I'll stick to my snakies ;)

Hey Dom why did you sell yours?

the problem is that most ppl dont have the space or cant commit to the next 70 or so years so not many ppl have them and the forum here just sits idle
.
Which really SUCKS!! cause i luv to talk croc just not many ppl to talk back LOL:(

That is the most problem with the crocodilian species. They either get to big or too mean. I have 0.1.4 of American Alligators and 0.2 of Spectacled caimans. The caimans I hope to place, as they were rescues. The gators I plan on keeping, 2 of them were rescues. Here is my biggest (around 5 feet) one:

This was taken 1 month after I rescued her. She was in bad shape as far as scale fungus. It is all cleared up and she is doing great. I have done quite a few educational programs with her. She is always a big hit!!!! My next size would be around 2 feet:

I just rescued this one on 9/7/02.
I will have plenty of space for the gators when they get bigger. I plan on building a bigger pen this winter for the bigger gator.
Just be careful of the caimans they are nasty!!!! They will rip you open guicker than anything. And do not let their size full ya, they are tough!!! A 3 foot caiman can throw you off, if you are around 160-190 LBS. The 2 I have are very nasty!!!! If if you work with them they still are!!! There is no taming them, at least with my experience with them.
Here is a Photo Gallery (http://kickme.to/reptilephotos) you might be interested in.

i'd love to keep crocs, but as mentioned above i can't commit to the longevity or the space required to keep adults. luckily i work at reptilia and get to work with a 7ft american aligator and 5 3ft speckies. love every minute of it especially the aligator.
