can they stay together?

I was just wondering if my new ball pythons can be kept together .They are fairly small and I would be putting them into a 25 gallon tank to begin with.Seperate hides and climbing space will be provided of course.What do you think?

umm, are they the same size??? if one is bigger than the other, maybe try introducing them first, then putting them in the cage. BUT if one is alot bigger that the other one, nope, but if they are the same size, ya, thats fine!

Well, for starters what are the sexes? If they are two males then absolutely not. Also as forementioned, if they are differntly sized than its out of the question. IMO snakes should always be housed separately, except for breeding. Not only are snakes solitary animals, but you cannot monitor the animals properly. If one has a runny poop you wont know which one it came from, same with regurgitations, etc. Also, if one gets sick the other one gets sick as well. Just my thoughts on the situation.

They are the same size and were together up until a week ago.

I seldom house together, easier and less worry. It's fine if nothing happens, if something does happen it's usually too late.

people listen all the time...its weather or not they act upon what you tell them. Mcpatch, you can also buy a big tank, and then get a piece of glass cut, and silicone it in the middle and make two smaller tanks from it, then you have one enclosure, both animals, and can share the lighting and heating, and it still lets monitor both animals sperately....just another option for ya to consider

Thats what i have done to a tank for some adult kingsnakes that i am getting tomorrow(fri).I think i posted a pic on the enclosures forum.I think for now i will just leave them in their own tanks.Thanks though it is a great idea

As I have said b4 .. seperating animals is a great option but U can easilly house animals together properlly if all criterias are met

Here's a pic of our milks... in their baby tank; 20 gal. long w/ plexiglass divider. Due to their being Lampropeltis we seperate them. Our other snakes cohabitate with like species mates with no problems. We panacure & quarantine all new animals in our home as well.
