My blood has been on rats now for the last 6 weeks now. I fed her a fat medium on friday night, and she seemed hungry again on sunday, So sunday night I fed her again, same sized rat. My question is how much is too much? I know she's going through a growth spurt now, and it's all being utilized in growth, but can they be overfed at 2-3 feet? Or should I feed her when she's hungry? She's obviously pretty plump now, but not unhealthy looking. She's growing like a weed though!!

Just weighed & measured her.... 28" 4 lbs.
She did just eat 2 rats though! Or maybe it's holiday weight! LOL

All I know is that they have a slow metabolism so you dont want to feed them too much or else they may regurge the meals. Id try just to feed every 5-7 days and one item. That should constitute a good growth rate in my opinion.

Thanks for the reply. I may feed her a larger rat once a week. Maybe she just needs even larger prey...

Just be careful with size. You dont want too feed something to big because they can also regurge or just not take it at all. Id just stick with a medium rat every 5 days and since she is in a growth spurt just wait a bit till she puts on that extra length and weight.
