I just bought my snake about 4 weeks ago, and it just now shed it's skin, but it came off in several pieces. I'm thinking its not humid enough in its cage (i have water bowl, branch for climbing, astroturf, and a hiding box by the way). And so i was wondering, i have heard of spraying you snake every now and then with a water bottle, does this work?

P.S. what kind of attention do snakes like best? And do they like warm or cold water?

room temp water is fine, it sounds like you need to increase the humidity for sure, different species of pythons need differnt humidity levels, what do you have?

regular humidity is about 50-60 percent and about 80 percent when IN shed.

I would also recommend trying a natural substrate, one of the wood products. When it comes time for the next shed, just spray down the substrate and it will release enough humidity for long enough, that everything should be fine.
