weird looking scale

I was just handling my male king and i discovered what looked like a dried out scale on his back, when I said it out loud my brother said there was two or three of them. I told him to tell me about things like that no matter what. I am wondering if anyone has any idea what it could be...It doesn't seem to bother him, he doesn't do anything when it is touched. If I had a digicam I would post a picture

my female red tail has scales like that too. Theres a tiny patch on her tail of maybe 5 scales all together that look and feel really dry, almost like it was a burn but i dont see how that could happen. I just ignored it , she doesn't do any thing when i touch it, but hopefully some one knows what it is.
