I tried mine Jeff but as you know I wasn't planing on it so my male never got cooled and I don't think he's too interested either.
Oh well next year they are in the plans so I'm too concerned if they don't go this year.
Cheers,
Trevor
maybe I want another brb...female heh...maybe....

They can go without being cooled Trev.. Its not ideal, and I don't recommend skipping the cycling. But it can be done.
But as you say, there's no rush. Plenty of stuff for this year. Save some stuff for next year!! :D

To get them to go the FIRST time can be tricky Trev.. After a few breedings, they just cycle themselves, it seems. But if you're trying them for the first time, I would suggest every trick in the book (ie, cycling, reduced photoperiod, reduced humidity, then warm sprayings in the spring, male combat, feed the females LOTS, etc etc). All of those things combined usually push the first-times over the edge.

Sounds good Jeff. So far the male is going with out food and the female is getting stuffed. Fed her a pinky rabbit the other day actually. Photo periods are naturally reduced as the only light in the room through out the year in provided through the windows. Reduced humidity and warm spraying is do able but male combat is hard with only one male. When do I start the warm spraying? Do I leave them together except for geeding or do I sperated and re-introduce ever few days?
Thanks,
Trevor

I started the warm spraying 2 weeks ago, when my cycling ended. Cycling started Dec. 1st this season I think. I leave them together all the time except for feeding and if they aren't breeding for 2 days in a row.
