View Full Version : Bloody Miracle
In October, I had a pair of hatchling albino California Banded Kingsnakes escape on me (well entirely my fault). Any way my father in law found the male this morning under my house. Unreal. It's been -30 here a few days and there is next to no heat under there. I can't believe it. He must have survived in a hibernation state. I think he may have been in the insolation, but fell out somehow, I don't know. He's thin and dehydrated but now that he's warmed up he's fistey as hell. I am so happy. I hope to find the female but I know her chances are just as slim as his were. I'll post some new pics of him once he gets eating again.:D
That's amazing...
Good Luck...

Agreed, it's totally incredible how hardy some snakes can be.

That is amazing, it amazes me what some snakes can endure. I wish you the best of luck with your recovered snake, and may it have a fast, full recovery.

good luck with your little fella and i hope you find his little friend too.
Well just to update, my little guy finally started eating for me last night. He had 2 layers of shed retained shed, poor little fella. Once all that came off he all about eating. Still haven't found the girl, but chances are I'll be getting him another girl. I'm taking this a sign that I'm meant to work with kingsnakes.:w
