This little one hatched last week, but I was waiting for my new camera, so I had to wait a couple days to take pics. It's hard to tell by the pics, but its going to be an orange tiger phase like its daddy. In fact, it has already started to lose the red and turn more orange since I took these photos.

This one is bad to the bone too...it barks and gapes when I get into it's container, and if that doesn't work, it bites. lol

This is the one that hatched out about a month ago. It's a sibling to the one above. The first pic was taken just after hatching and the last two were taken just the other day. Notice how the color changed from reddish to yellow. This one is just starting to get it's dalmatian spots...just like mom.

And not to get off topic, but here's a couple of my Eyelash Viper. I was cleaning his cage, so I took some pics.

Beautiful cresties (and amazing pictures too :) )

I've had a few hissers and screamers, very few biters. If they only knew how cute they look when they put on this aggressive display, and how much I laugh at them when they do it..... LOL

The new little one finally shed. Now you can see the tiger pattern better.

I thought this was kinda funny too...checking to see if I left him alone.

Thanks. It's a Nikon Coolpix 5000. I wanted the Coolpix 5700 (more zoom), but I got a good deal on the 5000.

Colleen,

You're probably thinking of the last clutch. That one definitely died in the egg...I manually pipped the egg and found the fully formed baby dead inside.

This was from the next clutch, which consisted of one good egg and one that was retained and then layed about a week later, which was obviously no good.

Things are looking up now...I've got 8 more eggs cooking right now and they're all good, so hopefully they'll start hatching in pairs from now on. :)

Oh, i am sorry your egg died. how do you know if you have a good egg or a bad egg? can you tell? well good luck on your 8 eggs!

The baby gecko actually pipped the egg and never made it out. It was fully developed, but apparently not strong enough to emerge. That's just nature's way.

If you want to see if an egg is bad or good, you can candle it with a small flashlight. I use one with an led type bulb. A good egg will start to glow pink and show blood vessel development within a few days of being laid, whereas a bad one will just glow yellow.
