View Full Version : growth
please can someone tell me the average growth of a common boa? i mean in relation to age thanx ahead for any input!:medtoothy
If fed well and kept in proper conditions they can get to be 3-4 feet long in their first year of growth i believe. There first year they grow the fastest and slow down after that. This is just from experience with a friend who breeds boa's, so if im off based here im sure someone else will correct me.

My BCI was close to 4 foot at one year of age. They say snakes never stop growing. They just do most of it in their first 2 years life. After that growth may quickly decline. Overall growth depends on the species and sex of the snake. Females are generally larger than males. As far as max length they can reach I'll let someone else answer.

The largest Columbian boa was 13' and some odd inches, this was female of course. Males usually MAX at the lengths of 9'.
