Please have a look and tell me what you think. THanks alot

Looks like a burn or abrassion to me. Apply polysporin. Are you sure that he cannot touch the heatbulb?

the only way he'd be able to touch the heatbulb would be a flying leap from the top of the basking spot. I don't see why he'd want to do that though, it wouldn't get him anywhere.

i can email full size pictures to anybody that wants.
Thanks

I notice beardies sometimes make sporatic jumps! Infact, I once underestimated their ability to high-jump, and soon found my dog chasing a beardie! I couldn't believe it.

could that really cause a burn though? Such quick contact would leave such a mark? I mean realistically he could only bounce off the bulb and fall to the ground right, would that be enough to burn him? it is a 150 watt bulb though.... hmmm...

LOL, thats true too. As I mentioned you said he was go into shed. Maybe its just an abbrasion from rubbing his nose.

Do you have a screen lid???

This may seem odd but i swear it happend. Last year when i had my babies i watched one of them jump from the basking spot to the screen lid. Then he pulled himself up and was crawling on the screen lid, pacing back and forth from the warm to cool end. Finally i guess he decieded he was done and he went back to his basking spot and jumped back to it.

Don't under estimate what these guys will do.

It kinda looks like it could be a burn, but those pics are way too small.

Yes a 150 watt bulb could burn him that quick. Go on stick your hand on it when it's been on most of the day, and tell me that it doesn't hurt. lol Out of curiosity ( mostly bordum) i've used my temp gun on the bulbs directly and they can get 200+.

well I have a 90 gallon with a screen lid and one of my female beardies (quite a fatty) jumped almost a good 8 inches and was hanging upside down for I dont even know how long but by the time I got the camera she was down :(

LOL Darren, If you look in my gallery there's a pic of my female beardie that lunged herself onto the males back then tried jumping out of the cage, all to get some tasty butterworms. She's just hanging on the edge of the tank trying to reach them.

hello

thanks for all the advice everyone, but it has been confirmed that it is just left-overs from a shed. What a relief!

appreciate the responses
