Probing and Lube

Hey what kinda lube should I use to probe an animal?

KY , Astroglide or any water based personal lube.
(no vaseline)

Personally,in actual practice:
I just use spit! It's always handy! :)

Vaseline is petroleum based which may be harmful to reptiles. I believe it also has some spermicidal qualities though I'm not certain. Worst of all though, the stuff is difficult to wash off.

KY Jelly works well :) And it should be available at most drug stores (we picked some up at Walmart the other day even)...
