Any one have a waterfall also with a fogger in it?. is that ok for the cham to have a small waterfall with a fogger on a hour of a day?

I use both and I think its great. The fogger really takes the water and puts it somewhere else (the cage floor!), so if you have the fountain and the fogger in the same water source, don't have both on at the same time. Reason being, the fountain pump will break if the water gets too low around it (what the fogger accomplishes in a half hour.)
Get what I'm saying?

sorry, no. I use a fogger in a zip-loc container full of water for my panther. The veileds all have their own waterfalls. So, no, not together. When I have the fogger on, it foggs up the panthers house for about 1/2 hour. By then, the water level is so low, the foggers auto shut off kicks in.
My fountains need to be topped up weekly to keep 'nough water in them. So, I would imagine that a fogger would expediate the loss of water, and you may need to fill the fountain daily if they are together.

As for the idea of having them...if you are going to keep all water sources sterile, why not? Just don't let water stand for too long. (It can be a bacterial breeding ground). Wash occassionally with vinegar to get the hard water grunge off.

wow good call on the fogger in a ziplock thing you keep it in there long and tak it out? maybe i will just do that instead of getting that volcano looking fogger?

As long as the fogger is submerged, it should stay good. When it is out of the water, crystals and deposits form on it and it dosen't work. I then have to take a toothbrush and vinegar to scrub the deposits off and it works again. It automatically shuts off when the water gets too low around it. To fill the container back up again, I use another container of similiar size with a hole in the bottom edge to drop down into it from the top of the cage. My panther drinks the droplets and the fogger's contianer is full again.
I think the volcano is just esthetically pleasing to us, not to the cham. It just matters how much you are willing to spend. My fogger cost $40, used. I think you can get them at plant stores sometimes.

I got mine at Artistic Delights 2 years ago. She gave me a good deal AND marked the value down for customs so i could avoid paying duties :)

Hrrrm... for chameleons I personally would not reccomend a waterfall. The water poses a hazard for the chameleon, and the water is easily contaminated and is a breeding pool for bacteria.

Also, this water is moving all the time. Bacteria generally grows in stagnant environments. So long as they are cleaned, and the water replaced on regiments, they are an awesome addition to an enclosure. Also, if the fountain is defecated upon, it should be cleaned and have a change of water immediately.

Note to anyone who cares.....it seems like my chams poop more often under their basking light (when they were smaller). So, i found it a lot easier to keep the fountains as far from the heat light as possible. Then there is less cleaning involved. :)

I use water falls in all my cages but I use reverse osmosis water to prevent problems with chlorine and other contaminants. If you want to produce a good fine mist, I use a water control for under ground sprinklers and a fine mist tip. I run my water through a carbon filter first and the controller works great because you can set it for only a minute or two as many times a day as you want.
I bought everything I need at Home Depot. It isnt cheap but you can put a misting tip in every cage with one controller for everything and it costs about the same as three large Exo Terra water falls.
