What does everyone use to design their enclosures. I'd like to find something OTHER than Paint lol, because that seems to be the only program that I've been using lol

It never occurred to me to design an enclosure (kind of intriguing idea, though).

I haven't touched a CAD program in a while, but if you don't care about scale, there's free modeling software out there.

www.wings3d.com

www.silo3d.com (not free but you get 40 free uses of it)

(this stuff is mainly for character modeling for rendering/animating)

autocad is several thousand dollars, not really worth buying to make a cage.

ever heard of downloading :p
Anyways, some nice old fashioned paper and pencil did the trick for me :D

I just get all my stuff together and put it in its place as I go. There is usually little planning unless I need to make specific depths or stuctures such as rock hiding places that do not collapse.

yep pen and graph paper and a ruler all the way cad programs are more trouble than they are worth for somethin so simple. Unless you're fluent with a cad program already you would spend more time learning how to use it than actually using it.

doenoe: as someone whose income relies on software sales I don't advocate piracy.
