I just had a thought, could I use my beardie pellets (the kind you soak) as a gut load for my crickets? My dragon never eats them and I don't want to waste them. If this is really a stupid idea don't flame me for it, its just a thought that popped into my head and figured why not ask.

That's exactly what I did when I had those pellets and my dragon wasn't about to touch them. I just used a tablespoon or so of pellets at a time, added a few drops of water to soften them up and used them as part of the gutload for the crickets and madagascar roaches. They loved the things, and they weren't wasted.

Nothing wrong with that idea at all. I always used the left over pellets from our love birds for all manner of bugs. The key to happy, healthy and nutritious bugs is lots of variety in their food. Try a slice of orange for your crickets as well, they'll love you for it.

Jawz i still do it to this day for my guys, I take and break the pellets in half before i moisten them, i find it's easier for them to eat.
