It really is a lot easier to get pics of monitors hatching than it is these guys. Fat Tails (like leos) just fly right out of the egg while the monitors are usually sitting with thier nose out for the better part of a day or two.
I caught this little guy this morning, and being that I love hatching pics I just had to share
Enjoy!

PS - to those of you that might find this "teasing", please refer to the previous hatching post and my comittment to provide all of you whiners with more pics ;)

Whiners??? We have whiners here?
I thought we were just followers and administering the proper praise due to the Canadian Amel AFT Breeder god?
;)
Something tells me I have to try another approach, huh? LOL
So how many AFTs have hatched out so far?

hahahahahaha, I was expecting something from you, Hilde, but not quite from this angle ;) Too funny.
I think we're up to 14 babies now. Something kinda neat you might get a kick out of too. I have an egg cooking from December 14. It's never appeared to be fertile when candled, but it's never gone bad. It's big, firm and white. The other egg fromt he clutch hatched a couple days ago and this "infertile" egg is still going strong. I'm starting to wonder if it's stuck in some sort of diapause and will hatch sometime next year ;) I have never had infertile eggs go this long before.
