It's an addiction, one is never enough. First I had an emp, then two emps, then three, then a 4th pregnant one, now at the show I'm getting 3-4 a avicularia slings, 5 emperors, 1 desert hairy and an unknown number of red bark scorpions. maybe more if I can get some deals.

Well lets just say I had my hand in the tank of the tarantula at work today, adding a few things to make life more comfortable for him. For someone who was considered "severly arachnaphobic" about a year and a half ago.............I'd say I've come a long way........lol.... :D

Sleddergirl,
It is in fact a Chilean rose (Grammostola rosea) and not a T blondi as mentionned by SaIiLdVaEnR. Oh and by the way, your puppy is cute! I also have a fem brindle APBT. Best dogs out there! We seem to be following the same path. We keep the best dogs and exotics, lol.

Yes, my Tank............the be all and end all of my life..........
My "horrid pit bull" (as described by most of the ignorant) is the one who we adopted at 2 years of age. After 2 years of being beaten by the previous owner, we brought him home. A big, solid, beautiful boy (19 inch head and 28 inch chest) much to the dismay of everyone but us. Well here we are 2 years later and just a bit before Christmas, my faithful "killer" saved my house from burning down.................ok, ok I'll get off my soapbox now, I'm just so damned proud of that dog.
But back to the subject at hand..............we do seem to be heading down the same path.............it'll be interesting to meet at the show in Missisauga..........as I presume you will be there....lol
*EDIT..........I just realized the pic you saw was of my Jesus, not Tank............oops................unfortunately we had to have Jesus put down in May.................

Yes I'll be at the show on the 22th, just look for the big Arachnomania sign. Check out my VERY OLD web site, you might find it interesting. To be honest with you I don't even know if it still works, I haven't looked there in a long time.
Bye,

Yeah I realized after posting my thread that I had changed internet provider and that site was a free one provided by them. I then lost that site as soon as i changed. No biggy, it was meant for sleddergirl as it was my old American pit bull terrier club of montreal web site.

Any other sites related to APBTs that you're interested in?.....I belong to a few communitites on MSN that are for APBT owners and I am also a member of an Anti-Breed Specific Legislation group.............

Quit changing the subject Yve! This is now officially a thread about Pit bulls, lol. Naw just kiding.
Sleddergirl,
I personnaly know Lou Colby at I beleive colbypitbulls.com, I've met Richard Stratton, talked and kept in touch with Bob Stevens for a couple years. Bob helped me out ALOT with my pit bull club. I don't talk/chat to many pit bull people anymore but did have my fair share a few years ago, I'm sure many Canadianpit bull people know who i am. I have also corresponded with CDpits out in BC. and also the people, well one person in particular (I forget her name) from the Ontario club (horse shoe something something), please don't tell them I forgot their names, they'll have my head. I could honestly talk for hours about pits so please don't get me startd at the show, lol.
That's enough about that I guess.
No hard feelings Yve?

I think its Golden Horseshoe APBT Club, or something like that. I know who you mean anyway. Well you have met the "creme de la creme" as far as the APBT circuit goes. I definately have my own theories about ABPT and everything to do with them. I don't agree 100% with any of the bigwigs, but most of them have tidbits of theory that I take to heart.
I figure the best thing I can do for my breed is to fight Breed Specific Legislation..............that has been my number one priority for the last four years.
