View Full Version : It was great!
Well I am just dragging my butt out of bed. Felt good to get more then 1-2 hrs of sleep. The show was great as Ryan said. It looks like we had about 2500 people come threw the door this year. We had about a 45% increase in table booking over last year. I did talk to a lot of breeders to see what they thought and to some sales were down but with 25 more tables booked means more animals, so over all things were good.
I would like thank everyone that signed the cards for me and Bonnie. Damn near brought a tear to my eye. Along with all the sponsors.
In the first 15 min 126 people came threw. It was quite a line up. There were a few last minute cancellations but others needed more room. I will post a table count later when I figure it out. I have some pics posted on the other site for people to look at. Have to finish unpacking everything and MUST get a pot of coffee in me.

It was a good show. Sales definiteyl weren't as good as I wanted for me, but the show, the planning, and the building were great. Walter and Bonnie, once again did a great job.
Greg
Nice to meet you McPatch, no one else from the forum stopped by though. Maybe i'll meet more of you in Calgary

I did a total 3500 km to be at that show and bought 8 snakes. Well worth it! I had a blast adn will see you all next year!
Didn't get a chance to have a good look at your terrariums, Greg - but from what I seen and heard they looked great. I'll make sure to stop at the TARAS show.
Jaylyn
I have to thank everyone that helped out. I am sorry for Jaylyn. She was helping run the mane door and every time she was going to look around our little one (Stephanie) decided to act up. SO I am very sorry that Jaylyn had to stay and collect money from people all day. Hope you see what you might have missed at the TARAS show. It will be a big one.
WALTER
I was only there for about an hour or so, but what I was there for was a wonderful show :) And thanks Walter for the snow corn... I envy whoever ended up with the male... wish I'd taken them both now. Ahh, the price of being tired and rushed. :p ;)

It was a fair bit busier than these pics show. This was right at the start of the show I believe, maybe even before the doors open. I didn't even know there was an upstairs to take pictures from.
Greg West
Your right Greg, I was just getting ready to open the doors. There were people lined up down the stairs. 126 people in the first 12-15 min of the show came threw. We had 2000 people around 2:00 pm. I was to busy to take pics of the show when it was packed.

I just realized that 99.999999% of the tables had Leopard Geckos!! Ha ha. I was behind Walter, in the first square when you walk in the door. I was directly across from Strictly Reptiles and Wrappin' about Reptiles. Did you have a crazy frog cage with molding in it??

Was a great show, even better than last year. We were breaking down the door first thing and managed to get away with only seven new additions. Thanks to Walter for putting on a fantastic show and for our special corn, to Annette for a spectacular variable kingsnake, and to Ryan and Sheila (Scales) for all the new baby corns. Such a great show since there is so much space, booths are not crowded and there is lots to see and buy.

Jeff, Yeah I was that guy. I probably saw you, but have never seen you before so I wouldn't have known. Are you going to Calgary at the end of the month? Maybe see you there.

Too bad we didn't realize who each other was! I won't be going to Calgary, but I'll be going to all the Alberta shows next year. We'll have to hook up for a few drinks or something. Get everyone together from here the night before....er.....maybe the night after, heh heh.
Good luck in Calgary if you're going buddy. Cages look great, as always! Is that Caiman yours?

That's a good idea. I drove all that way but made myself leave the show early (for fear of spending WAY TOO MUCH money!) so I didn't get to meet too many people.
In hind sight, I wish I had bought more because I get paid tomorrow anyway and it's just money.

Does anyone know the name of the guy at the table right beside Walter? He had a bunch of corns in Zip-Lock containers. I need his name for my records.
Thanks.
His name is Alfred Von Hollen. He is from Rocky Mountian House. He also runs the Zoo 4 U.
