Ok, here is Potter a male red eared slider we rescued. He just moved into this 70 Gallon tank. He doesn't like fish so his 8 feeder goldfish have grown to 4 to 8" and are now his friends. He has a twin tube 48" floure. with 1 reptisun 5.0 and a 50/50 reef light and a 100 Watt basking light. Sorry I suck with the camera, some are blurry. :)

And this is Omar, another rescue. This is his temperaty tank and top I setup when we first got him. He now makes his home in a 120 Gallon with his 12" Female slider "friend". Oddly, I've never caught them doing the deed. lol

Wow, the tank looks great! Glad to see that Potter is enjoying his new home. Nice looking fish too! Makes me want to get a turtle or tortoise of my own. Next time I'm in S'toon, I'll have to stop by and see your collection.

Thanks everyone. Potter just broke his thermometer and almost causes a disaster. It was a floating glass one with 2 suction cups on it. He bit it and broke the middle leaving the VERY thin glass tube full of mercury falling to the bottom. I caught him just as he was playing with it. Phew!! Close one. I bought one of those dumb stick on thermometers for his tank. I hate them. lol

The liquid in the thermometer is most likely NOT something uber-toxic like mercury. Its probably alcohol and dye so I don't think its gonna lead to poisoning of any sort. Hope your turtle didn't ingest any glass, though.
Anywayz, nice set up.

Nope I recovered all the glass, it was only 2 peices. I didn't know about the alcohol thing though. Makes sense.
