Ok I had a house gecko in my basement bathroom. The one day I was cleaning and because these little guys are SO fast it got out while I was tring to catch it to move it, so I could clean. Anyway I looked but the roof is not finished so there was TONS of places that a 3inch little lizard could hide. This was in about sept I think?? Keep in mind we also have 4 very active cats. Now last night I was putting some cloths into the dryer also downstairs and I look down and see a lizard, I just thought that's a neat toy (2 little bros, 2 young nephews) I go to pick it up and it moves! Turns out it's my missing house gecko that I had given up for dead. Needless my mom and sister were happy I found it, although not so happy that it was nice and fat, they don't like the idea of that meny bugs in their house. I just thought that it was neat.

I had a green anole that went missing for eight days, we had given up hope on him. Then he turned up under the couch, none the worse for the wear.............lol. Thats nothing compared to your little one surviving for months..............

Ya I figured between the house freezing (in the basement, 30-40 below outside), no food, 4 cats, and a few months it was a goner but it showed up, it's just amazing. Although he never went far. The laundry room and bathroom are right beside eachother, so I figure it just scurried around on the floor and climbed through the hole to the dryer (the vent goes through our bathroom then outside) and stayed under there catching and eating all the lost mealworms and crickets, most likely some spiders too. Although he seems depressed now that he's in a cage agian. If I didn't think I'd get kicked out then I'd just let him go agian and just set up a warm spot and let some crickets loose once in a while, and just let him free roam.
