This is the cage i made for a panther chameleon i will be getting in the near future. It is 4' tall, 3' wide, and 2' deep. I used a screen called "The Petscreen" for the windows. It is a strong screen designed to hold up against dogs runnign through screen doors. I used it because it isn't metal that will hurt my cham's toes/nails, but is still cricket proof. For the top windows, i used an aluminum screen because i wanted to sit my heat lamp directly on it. The bottom is also screen, this allows the water to drain through right into a rubbermaid tray which catches it all. I used 3/4" square dowels for beams to run across the bottom of the cage so i would have the strenght to hold up heavy plants. The walls are made out of 5/8" thick melamine. The base is made of a 2x12., THe base and the beams are painted with an outdoor paint so they can resist all the humidity and water. It isn't fully filled yet, all i have in there is a ficus tree i got at Rona for $5. So what do you all think?

Awesome cage, but isn't it kind of hard to see into?

it's about the same as a reptarium for visibility. Keep in mind there was no flash with those pictures, and there is no light on inside the cage yet.

Looks great. I know your not done note on the petscreen* Crix can chew there way threw it. when u get all your sticks and stuff set up id like to see it. what kind of panther are u getting. Oh and u better keep that ficus well light or its gonna start droping all its leaves on u. Looks great though nice design and looks like its well thought out.
