She has really swelled up this year after the being courted and bred by the male over the last 3 weeks or so.

Last year was her first breeding season and she produced 12 live newborns and 2 slugs. Here is a shot of them when I found them under the news paper.

Here is one of the babies at approx 8 months of age.

I think she was a little upset in this photo.

Thanks

Dan

Very cool Big Dan, best of luck. I have a hog that is 7 months old that used to be tame, but as of a few weeks ago it has had an attitude change. Do you know if hogs go through a period of being crazy? Or is it now showing its true colors? Do you think theres hope for it to go back to its calm self? Your opinion would be much appreciated.

That's definitely one swollen looking girl there Dan, congrats! If her babies are as nice as last year, there's definitely going to be some screamers in there :D

And Derrick, congrats on your new addition! She looks amazing!!

Hey Derrick

Yes Mark emailed me the pic because it really turned out nice and I did not have any pics of when they had gotten older because most were sold at around 6- 8 weeks of age.

I heard she made her way up the Fort. It is always nice to see how they turn out.

Foman most Hoggs can be a little cranky as babies but with handling they tame down really well. All of my adults are great.

Clownfishie hopefully with luck I will have some more little ones this year. She should have a few more this year than last and then she gets next year off. I think its time to add a Hogg to the collection. LOL

Tim I will let you know as soon as something happens.

Later,

Dan

Ya they're sweet. I just fed mine(the youngin pictured) a f/t rat hopper tonight. It was great they hit hard.

I find my hogs a little huffy once in a while but when I pick them up they become very mellow. A little Dr. Heckle and Mr. Hide lol.

I'll say it again... Dan, it's a good thing you live in Calgary, because I'm already going to be going broke over your collection. I don't need to be paying shipping on top of that. :)
