Unfortunately our blood is a shy feeder, so, I doubt we'll get any pics of that anytime soon. Who knows, we may get lucky one day. :)

Thanks for the pic! Lol, mine was shy too but today i just danled a mouse in her face while she was sitting in her water bowl(dont come after me about feeding in the cage i just dont want to add more trauma(shes acclimating) to her by moving her to the feeding bin). Anyways, it was dead dont worry! She just took it out of my hand and swallowed it with me watching, first time ever. It was freshkilled(like 30 seconds ago) so i guess it seemed tasty, lol. Anyways thanks again for the pic!

nice pic...quite the mouthful..lol...my blk blood is a psycho feeder...if I dangle the rat he grabs and throws his body against the wall....its soo loud...sounds like I had dropped a pile of books on the floor!...i should take some pics of the display he puts on while feeding...looks like he's dancing with the rat!
I took some pic but i have to get them developed....my guy is not a shy feeder at all....he always eats when im in the room and he just destroys the rats he eats...he has a feeding response that is insane...ill post some pics soon !!
And very cool feeding pic there !! HEHE

My blood has no feeding responce like those posted... She sniffs and swallows. No strike, no constricting, nothing. I guess I should be happy that I don't have to worry about being bit! My son's 4' ball reacts violently to feeding, sometimes ripping open the mouse/rat, and constricting the eyes out of it. My blood, who I thought would be a striker, only swallows... Why is that?

I fed my 2' blood tonight, and she sniffed it all over, and then STRUCK it really violently, and yanked it into her moist box. She seemed to eat it differently also, very excited movements, like a dog chewing a stick!
I wonder why the sudden change? Is she coming of age and gaining confidence? Whatever, it's cool to see her strike.
