Took these last night after introducing Hector into his new cage. Cage measures 8ft by 5ft by 5ft. Made of solid 1" cured plank wood, with 2" wood and glass sliding doors, and an 8ft section of Madrona tree secured to the walls. The cage was given to me by a fellow herp society member who had housed his 18ft retic in it for 20 years, but she recently passed away so had no more use for the cage. It just gets passed on to a new generation of retic. :) I love this cage. I could comfortably live in it. lol.

Very nice cage, love the retic. When I move out of my mothers house I'm going to get one also. Also, hows the temperment on that guy, I hear they can be quite the nippers, but all that I have handled were quite docile for the most part. Does it have a strong feeding response?

Thanks.. He's about 8ft. He should be bigger. He's about 2 years old now, but he had a bad intestinal prolapse last year(due to former owners power feeding) and had to have everything stitched back into place and couldn't be fed large meals or fed very often until the stitches fully came out on their own. Which they did a little while ago so he's back on a regular feeding schedual..

I still live with my family. lol. They're just pretty cool about my hobby, since my mother had 29547294 birds at one point. Hector's a very laid back retic. They definatly can have attitudes. I had 7 at one point, mostly WCs, and they were all nasty as could be. With mellow captive retics, its mostly feeding responce, yeah. Always make sure to use a hook when getting out of cage, etc.
