Usually when rescues come in, I get them acclimated, give them a clean bill of health and put them up for adoption. But his girl is staying with me. I fell in love with her. She is a 4.5' Bull snake that is just as sweet as she can be. She will make a great addition to educational programs.

Wow! What a beaut! She looks similar to the bulls here. Why was she a rescue?

Wow, she looks great! I can see why you'd want to hang onto her :) Gotta love the faces on those bulls... too cute!

Why was she a rescue?

The owner went to jail  And since I can't exactly get hold of him, and she was his only snake, locale is a crap shoot.

It seems that anything north of Texas starts looking pretty dark. The darkest being the Iowa bulls I believe. It's funny when our American friends go crazy about Canadian bulls and about being that dark. None of the bulls I've seen this year came close to how dark the Iowa ones get. Have you noticed any real dark ones Ryan? Dark like my Indiana?

Only in pictures of snakes from Drumheller. Some up there are black, some are just a tad more red from down here.

I'll make Jonothan bring his slideshow showing many different locals. I've never seen the whole thing, but I'd love to!
