I do Not have a blood Python, but my guess would be if she
"ment it" It would hurt a lot, and would be bad

depends on where she bit you, how she bit you, why she bit you, what you did when she bit you, etc...
a bite from an adult can feel like a little needle pricked you or like a hammer got slammed down on your finger... the needle prick is more common though.

Ok, thanks. I know what its like from a baby, as the one i just got today(my first one, red blood, and i would like to thank Pete at kptreptiles for it) and i oppened that package right when i got it, and took her out and she got the side of my hand. Later, when i was holding her, she launched herself at my face and got my lip with one tooth(i immediately put her into her enclosure and disinfected the wound). My guess is that she was this agitated because of the plane flight. Also, what is the risk of infections from bloods and how bad can they get.
After working with them for a while, do they get quite tame? I assum they are like other snakes in that way. Thanks.

I do know one person who got bitten by a 6.5' adult female blood, and he described it as the most painful experience of his entire life, because this girl MEANT it. Bloods have got to be, pond for pound, the most powerful snake in existence. I am proud to own one that doesn't seem to mind my presence... but let me tell you, I am ALWAYS cautious, and she's just a baby. :D

I've heard that the Malaysian Red Bloods are nippy/angry, but calm down (somewhat) with handling. I have also heard that the Sumatran Red Bloods are quite tame, maybe a little defensive at first, but handle easily with time. My Sumatran Red( yellow ) Blood has been absolutely tame since I got her. She doesn't mind me at all. Has only hissed once. And only nipped the day I got her home, in fact she bit the guy I bought her from when I handed her back to him...A fine, and quite docile snake for sure.

Well my new Sumatran blood is fairly calm most of the time but she's a real pain in the @$$ to get out of the cage...lol..she has only bite once and thankfully i was wearing a pair of thick gloves. I use them to get her out. Let's just say i was never so glad to have a pair of gloves on that day.. I would imagine if one really wanted to they could pack a nasty bite... but hey that's half the fun right:)

Alright, thanks. I think mine is just more the problem of getting her out of the cage then she calms down on my hand but i think i have to make sure she is relaxed then put her on my hand. Thanks again everyone, o by the way, whats the risk of infection from snake bites? Ive been bit 4 times(1 rat, my fault during feeding - 1 king, i guess i still smelled like boa - 2 by my blood, i guess agitated from the flight - o and a marble gecko). Nothing has been infected yet, but my dad gets mad when i get bit out of concern not of the bite and blood but of infections. Thanks.
