View Full Version : Helmeted Geckos?
Does anyone in Canada breed these guys, preferable in Alberta or BC. I saw one the other day and they look like really cool little geckos. What do they go for usually?$?$

They are a fascinating species. I believe Beth Wallbank breeds them, but be warned, they are not easy. It's easy to get the females to lay over and over, but they seem to die soon after. The males can be very hard on the females also. I would definately recommend several females and a couple of males. That way you can keep one male in the group and alternate them. Maybe putting the male in for only a short period of time and having a tank set up just for them so that the females can recover without hassle. I think that they can usually be found for around $80-$120. They should be worth much more considering how hard it is to keep females. Good luck finding them, they are very fascinating and fun to watch.
